How to Make Fresh Tomato Sauce and Penne

Making this dish that have pasta and tomato are great. Not only is it delicious but nutritious to serve as well as eatting it too. This recipe may seem like there are lots of ingredients but worth it to make it since it's so simple and delicious. Enjoy it if you can.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • 4 cups diced fresh plum tomatoes (about 10 medium tomatoes)
  • 1/4 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 16 oz. pkg. penne pasta
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan and Romano cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped Italian parsley
  1. Step 1

    In 12 inch saute pan over medium heat, brown mushrooms in olive oil. Add onion and garlic; cook until onion is tender. Add tomatoes and Italian seasoning; bring to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. Step 2

    Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions; drain.

  3. Step 3

    Pour into serving bowl. Spoon sauce over pasta. Top with cheese and parsley; toss to blend.
