Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Use a foam carpet cleaner on the stain.
    I like to use Resolve.

  2. Step 2

Rub the foam into the carpet with a moist sponge.

  3. Step 3

Sprinkle Baking Soda on the stain and
    rub with a moist sponge.

  4. Step 4

Vacuum the spot. Repeat steps 1 through 3 until
the odor is milder. Spray with Febrez when you
    are done.

Tips & Warnings
  • Just want to add this point. I once ordered a new couch and had stain protector applied to it. It arrived with a terrible odor. To make a long story short I used the chemicals I listed above to remove the odor. It took several tries but I was finally able to remove the odor from the couch.
  • Important! Try this procedure on a patch of carpet that isn't visible to be sure that the chemicals don't stain the carpet. Always follow your carpet manufacturer's instructions concerning stain removal.
