How to Remove Gasoline Smell
From Carpet

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Kitty Litter - the kind that has the absorbent molicules.
  • A plastic sheet
  • An auto vacume (preferable the car wash because you don't want to just transfer the smell into your vacume to be expelled every time the vacume is used again inside the house)
  • one bottle of Massingale disposable douche. Preferable Vinegar and water, but you can use what ever fragrance you prefer.
  1. Step 1

Preferable while the gasoline spill is fresh, cover it with a kind of kitty litter that contains the fresh step molicules.

  2. Step 2

Cover the kitty litter with a plastic sheet and apply pressure. This will disburse the molicules and help
    absorb the spill.

  3. Step 3

Vacuum up the kitty litter then pour a light covering of
the Massingale over the spot and allow to dry. Do not
    vacuum for 24 hrs.

Tips & Warnings
  • If the gasoline has already dried, try to moisten the spot with a small amount of water before beginning the first step.
  • This process should be completed by an adult only or under adult supervision.
