Imagine if your boss saw an embarrassing photo of you. How would you feel? Do you ever want your boss or business clients to read your comments about a bad day at work? How about your personal problems?

If you use Facebook for both your professional and personal life, be careful!

Facebook is an excellent tool to keep in touch with anyone. This article will help you ensure that you do not embarrass yourself when using Facebook.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Determine if you want to mix your personal and professional life on Facebook. Determine if there is a benefit to use Facebook in your professional life.

  2. Step 2

If Facebook is a tool for your business, use it as a business tool. Don't place photos of your binge drinking weekend on Facebook. Don't complain about your romantic relationships on Facebook. If you wouldn't say or display it in your place of employment, don't say or display it on Facebook.

  3. Step 3

Be careful what you write. If you write a message on a friend's "wall", remember all of the recipient's friends can view what you wrote. Make sure your message doesn't send the wrong message about you or your business.

  4. Step 4

If you are interviewing for a job, make sure there is nothing inappropriate on your Facebook page. Many companies search Facebook and other social networks before they invite you to interview. I do. Be careful!

  5. Step 5

Always remember - If you use Facebook as a business tool, everything on your Facebook page says something about you and your business!
