How to Bake Pork Ribs
Pork ribs don't have be cooked on a barbecue grill to be mouth-watering tasty! You can make delicious, tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs right in your own kitchen. All you need is time, your favorite barbecue sauce and a few hours as you will be baking your pork ribs on a low temperature all day long! Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- A slab or two of pork ribs (baby back or whole)
- A bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce
- 9x12 baking dish or a deep oven roasting pan (rack not necessary)
- Aluminum foil
- Salt and pepper for seasoning
- Meat or cooking thermometer

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Wash ribs thoroughly in cold water and cut into pieces. Roughly 2-3 ribs per piece.

Arrange ribs (meat side up) in baking dish or roasting pan. Try not to overlap them. Season them with salt and pepper on both sides.

Cover pan with lid or aluminum foil. Set in center of oven.

After about 2-3 hours, check on them. If they look almost done, pour on your favorite barbecue sauce. Thoroughly coat each rib!

Replace lid or aluminum foil and return to oven until cooking time is complete, usually about 4 hours depending on how many ribs are being baked.

Cook until internal temperature of the meat is a minimum of 155 degrees. (check with meat thermometer). For more tender ribs, allow meat to stay in oven for a longer time.

Remove from oven and allow meat to rest until an internal temperature of at least 160 degrees is reached. Plate and serve with your favorite side dishes! Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
Make sure your meat thermometer is accurate.
Baked beans and homemade potato salad are great side dishes!
To avoid any problems, make sure your ribs are cooked thoroughly.
