How to make a yummy Mocha latte

Lattes consist of steamed milk and strong coffee or espresso, and they are a favorite among coffee-house devotees. The drink is served hot or cold and can be flavored with vanilla, almond, or caramel. A mocha latte is a latte with chocolate added in the form of cocoa or chocolate syrup.   • 2 cups of half-and-half
  • Saucepan
  • Spoon
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups strong coffee or espresso
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 4 large coffee mugs or tall glasses

      Heat the half-and-half in the saucepan, but do not let it boil.

      Remove the half-and-half from the heat.

      Add the brown sugar, prepared coffee or espresso, chocolate syrup and vanilla extract. Mix with the spoon until the brown sugar is dissolved.

      Pour the latte into four large mugs and serve. For iced latte, cool the mixture and pour it over ice in tall glasses.

  • Add a shot of bourbon or whiskey if desired.
