Make a Paper Plate Rocking Doll

Here's a great craft for children!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 9" diameter paper plates
  • Glue
  • Crayons
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  1. Step 1

Using pencil and ruler, on one paper plate (turned upside-down), draw the doll body shape as shown in the picture.

  2. Step 2

    Cut out the doll body.

  3. Step 3

Using the first doll body as a template, place it on the second paper plate (also turned upside-down), and trace around the template to make second body.

  4. Step 4

    Cut out second body.

  5. Step 5

Draw a 3 1/4" diameter circle onto third paper plate (I simply used a cup as a template). This will be your doll's head.

  6. Step 6

    Cut out head.

  7. Step 7

Glue body centers together as shown (leave the rims free of glue).

  8. Step 8

Here is a picture of how the body should look.

  9. Step 9

Glue head to front of body as shown.

  10. Step 10

    Let dry.

  11. Step 11

    Decorate with crayons, markers, etc.

  12. Step 12

Now, your doll is ready to rock!!

Tips & Warnings
  • Always supervise children making crafts, especially when they are using scissors. I recommend safety scissors.
