Things You'll Need:
- Guest List
- Location
- Meal Planning
- Activities
-
Step 1
Guest List - The first step is creating a guest list. Start your list by Grandparents/Aunt's & Uncle's/Children/Grandchildren/Family Friends/etc
-
Step 2
Location - After your guest list is created you must find a suitable location. The most popular locations are parks/lakes/churches/neighborhood recreational centers. Keep in mind the cost of the location and how/who will be covering this cost.
-
Step 3
Invitations - Now that you have the guest list and location it is time to send out invitations. You can buy or make your invitations yourself. Invitations can be found at most retail stores or you can create your own with your computer software.
-
Step 4
Meal Planning - Is your reunion going to be catered or pot luck. If you are using a caterer, you need to remember to get an accurate head count, you don't want a shortage of food. Also, keep cost in mind most caterers charge per person, this fee can add up quickly. If you chosen to do pot luck style, you can assign each family member a certain item (meat/side dish/dessert)to ensure you don't have 5 buckets of chicken and only one bowl of potato salad! Don't forget the plates & utensils!
-
Step 5
Activities - Does your family like a challenging game of baseball after dinner, or perhaps a friendly game of checkers or cards. Remember to come up with enough activities to please the young and old!
