Step 1
Fall themeDecide on a fall theme to decorate your mailbox. If you do not have something specific in mind search through the available magnetic mailbox covers, that look like fall themes. One that is available is covered with fall colored leaves.

Step 2
Fall magnetic decorationFind accessories for your mailbox to complement your fall motif. For example, if you chose the fall colored, consider wrapping the mailbox post with a strand of plastic fall colored leaves.

Step 3
Attach the accessories with clear duct tape. This holds as well as regular duct tape but cannot be seen.

Step 4
Write your address inside the lid of your mailbox with a permanent marker. Then when you have substitute mail carriers they can verify your address before putting mail in the box.
