The best way to experience lynchburg is to take a motorcycle trip there with some friends. the trip is nice and the county is a wonderful ride.
However lacking a bike, a car trip is still nice. -
Step 2
The first thing to do is to go check out the distillery and take a free tour. the lobby has exhibits telling how it is made and out of what. They also have vats of un-aged jack Daniels before and after charcoal filtration for you to smell.
-
Step 3
The first stop on the tour is the rick yard where they burn wood into charcoal.
-
Step 4
Next you get to see the limestone spring they get the water from.

Step 8
You can buy a whole barrel if you want, 50 gallons of whiskey just for you for around 8 to 12 thousand $. the distillery also sells cut glass decanters of whiskey too for collectors. However they do not sell whiskey to the pubic as they are in a dry county. Any of the county's surrounding lynchburg do sell whiskey though, and a souvenir bottle is a good thing to take home.
-
Step 9
Check out downtown lynchburg too, they have gift shops for all your jack Daniels merchandise needs, as well as selling empty barrels.
