Activate a Blackberry on BES

This article explains how to activate a blackberry on a Blackberry Enterprise Server.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

Step 1

From the main menu screen, go into SETTINGS > OPTIONS > ADVANCED OPTIONS > ENTERPRISE ACTIVATION
Step 2

It will now ask you for an EMAIL ADDRESS and PASSWORD. Enter in your email address and password given to you by network administrator.
Step 3

Click in your trackball or trackwheel to show option menu, now click ACTIVATE.
Step 4

After activation is complete, it will alert "ACTIVATION COMPLETE"

Tips & Warnings

If activation is stuck for any more then 30-40 minutes, you may want to cancel activation, restart blackberry by removing/reinserting the battery and trying activation again. If you still have problems, contact your network administrator.
