Things You'll Need:
- empty laundry baskets
- laundry detergent
- table or floor to sort clothes.
-
Step 1
dropping dirty clothes on floorStepping out of your clothes at the end of the day, and just dropping them on the floor is not the way to keep a clean room, or get your clothes clean. This is just announcing to anyone who walks into the room, that you are a slob. Wash your laundry and love it and you will always look and smell clean.
-
Step 2
Better place to drop clothesGo into any Dollar Store and buy 3 laundry baskets. You know the type-the ones you put your laundry into instead of the floor.
-
Step 3
Hit the basket not the room.Get undressed at night, and immediately separate the clothes. Instead of dropping them all on the floor in a pile, drop colors in one basket, whites in another, and blacks into a third basket. To make it fun, make believe you are trying to put a ball in a basket, as you do in basketball, and try to hit the right basket from a distance away. This method also will eliminate having your clothes just tossed all over the laundry room.
-
Step 4
Wash in machines and not with stonesBring the baskets into the laundry room on laundry day, and put them on the floor. Wash your laundry and love it by using this method. Wash whites first. When the wash is finished, put them into the dryer to dry. At the same time start washing the colors. Now you will have about 1/2 time to go back to your room and clean or straighten it up.
-
Step 5
When the clothes are dry, immediately remove them from the machine, put them on hangers and hang them up. By this time the colored wash should be finished, so put those into the dryer, and at the same time put your blacks into the washing machine. With this system you will be done with everything at almost the same time, and you are ready to wear clean clothes instead of making dirty clothes smell clean.

on 11/22/2008 This reminds me of my Mother when I was a young girl. She had my Father make this box looking thing out of poles and she made a bag out of our old bed sheets. One black, one green, and the other white. After each wear, we had to toss our clothes by color coordinating it.
I must also disagree with momofour. This article doesn't make laundry "fun" but it does make laundry time a lot faster and efficient! Think of it., instead of having to dig through a pile of clothes for colors, this makes it a lot less dreading! DOESN'T IT?!
:D Thank you for this awesome article! 5 STARS!
