Things You'll Need:
- Cold water wash
- Lingerie bag
-
Step 1
Deoderants, perfumes and body oils are absorbed into the fabric of your bra, this leads to stains. Bras should be washed as soon after wearing as possible.
-
Step 2
Make sure your bra is the right fit. Pulling and tagging on the clasps and straps will break down the elasticity and can damage the hooks. A great fit will make your bra last longer.
-
Step 3
Very delicate bras should always be handwashed and everyday bras will last longer if they are handwashed. However, if you don't want to handwash an everyday bra, fasten the back of the bra and put it in a lingerie laundry bag. Use a mild detergent and wash it in the washing machine on a delicate cycle.
-
Step 4
Always handwash a delicate bra. Put the bra in a sink of lukewarm water. Use a cold water wash or mild detergent. Rinse in cool water and gently roll in a white towel.
-
Step 5
Do not put your bra in the dryer as heat will damage it overtime. Instead drape the bra over a drying rack. Gentle care of your bra will help it last many months longer.
