How to make cheap italian beef in the crock pot
Here is a great and inexpensive beef recipe for the crock pot. The end result will be a spicy (or mildly spicy) italian beef sandwhich. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Beef roast of any cut, cheap cut works well
- 16 oz jar of gardinera (mild, med, hot, based on taste)
- rolls
Instructions
-
-
1
Place beef roast in crock pot.
-
2
Pour entire jar of giardiniera over roast.
-
-
3
Place cover on crock pot. Turn crock pot on low. Cook 6 to 8 hours.
-
4
When ready to eat, shred beef from roast. Serve beef and giardiniera on rolls. Enjoy.
This dish is easy and tastes great. The oil from the giardiniera allows any cut of roast to come out moist and the veggies in giardiniera give a little bit of spice and kick.

Interesting. Crock pots I see are great tools to cook while you're at work. Are is it a good thing to leave it on unattended? -

This sounds so easy, I've never used giardiniera before - but will have to check into it. Thanks for the beef recipe. -
