Painting old furniture is a stress reliever. And also a eye site enhancer. Painting is fun.

  1. Step 1

    Painting furniture is a stress reliever. You can take something that is a site to soar eyes. And enhance it to something beautiful again.

  2. Step 2

    A lot of people go out and spend a hefty penny, to buy furniture that just looks the same as everyone else's. Well, as for me, I bring in the old and paint it like new.

  3. Step 3

    I go to the local goodwill, or thrift store. Find items that would go good with my homes theme. Enhance it and make it better. All you need is an old wooden chair, some paint, sand paper, a brush and BLAY ZAY!

  4. Step 4

    Adding stencils to the back of a chair, would give your prize possession creativity, and enhancement.

  5. Step 5

    Just remember follow these steps and your imagination would give your treasure, your style and touch. Feel free to do what ever comes to mind.

Tips & Warnings
  • Shop bargains, take in the old, and enhance it to new.
  • Look into thrift shops in your local area.
  • Use stencils from the craft stores to add letters, or shapes, or designs to your wood prizes.
  • Make sure you always be careful with any paint products.
  • Be careful, remember to keep some kind of plastic on carpet, or on concrete outside. You don't want a paint spill.

on 9/13/2008 i enjoy doing that too. getting old stuff from family and neighbors, and fixing it up, trying to make it cooler. my old couches are getting old and faded, mostly from my late pets, but i have nice matching couch covers over them.
