Ever just sit around at your computer not knowing what to do? Well, that's what the Internet is for! The Internet and instant messaging were invented for many reasons. Some are practical, others are just for fun. Here are some quick and easy steps to really bug your friends on MSN messenger for those times when you're bored and want to have some laughs!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • MSN Messenger program
  • MSN account
  1. Step 1

Draw someone in by starting off with a short, normal conversation.

  2. Step 2

Start annoying him by answering everything with, “wait ... what??” and pretend to be confused. See how many times you can get him to repeat what he says before he gets really frustrated and gives up.

  3. Step 3

When she stops answering you go, “oh THAT’S what you mean...” and say something completely wrong. See if you can get her to repeat what she said again.

  4. Step 4

At this point he will probably be ready to put you on his “blocked” list (which you probably don’t want) so try to make up by apologizing. Be sure to use lots of smiley faces and other “Emoticons.” If he’s using a special program for MSN, your emoticons will make lots of funny sounds!

  5. Step 5

Make your font giant and colorful so she has to scroll up to read what you wrote. End with something like, “Did you get what I said??”

  6. Step 6

If she doesn’t respond, just “Nudge” her! This will make her computer make sounds and her chat window shake. You can keep doing this (without being limited by the program) if you just close out of your chat window and open it up again.

  7. Step 7

Finally, change your status back and forth from “Online” to “Invisible.” This will not only make lots of sounds but she will also see a stream of notifications pop up at the corner of her screen!

  8. Step 8

Just when you think he’s about to explode, sign off completely. And make sure you get the last word!

Tips & Warnings
  • What’s really great about MSN Messenger is that it comes preinstalled with every computer and preconfigured to automatically open on boot-up. You can annoy your friends even if they don’t realize they're online!
  • Remember, users have to accept an invitation to become a “friend” with someone before they can exchange instant messages. So make sure you have a list of friends lined up!
  • It's best to have a good laugh about it afterwards so there's no hard feelings. Plus, this way they'll be more likely to fall for it again the next time!
  • Don't go overboard! Some of your friends may not take it as well as others so use your best judgment.
