Pets are just as much a part of a household as people. They should also get to join in the holiday celebrations and even have their own stocking. There are plenty of things cats love that you can use to fill their stockings. You can even lay the stocking out and let your cat investigate his or her presents himself.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Stocking
  • Glue
  • Glitter
  • Catnip
  • Mouse toy
  • Cat treats
  • Other cat toys
  1. Step 1

Get out a plain Christmas stocking and write your cat's name in glue at the top of the stocking. Shake lots of glitter on top of the glue. Draw a paw print with glue next to the name and shake glitter all over that. Then take the stocking over to a trash can and gently shake off any excess glitter. Let the glue dry.

  2. Step 2

Add some catnip to your cat's stocking. You can buy a bag of catnip or you can buy some toys with catnip in them. Consider buying one of each.

  3. Step 3

Add a toy mouse. The mouse can squeak when attacked or just have a long tail that the cat can bat at. If you don't mind spending the money, you can get a remote control mouse. This mouse can be controlled by you and you can have it chase the cat or run away from the cat. This toy would be good for hours of fun.

  4. Step 4

Add a package or two of cat treats. These are good for cats because they help freshen the cats breath and help to get decay off of their teeth. The cats also love the treats as they are like dessert to a cat.

  5. Step 5

Add a package of balls with bells inside. Cats love to play with balls, especially if they make a fun noise.

  6. Step 6

Add a fancy collar. This is fun to do if you have a female cat. You can get a pink or purple collar with jewels around it. You can even buy a collar that says "Princess." If you have a male cat you can buy him a red or black collar.

  7. Step 7

Add a feather teaser. This is a toy that will help you bond with your cat as the two of you must play it together. You hold the stick and slowly move the feather around the room. Watch as your cat leaps for the feather. You can also slowly move the feather up and down and get your cat to jump for it.

Tips & Warnings
  • Feel free to make some items to add to the stocking as well. Tin foil balls or balls of yarn are also good toys for cats.
