Instructions

    • 1

Choose a jacket with tails. Astaire always wore tailor-made attire. It was no mistake that his jacket fit him to his precise proportions.

    • 2

      Wear a white bow-tie.

    • 3

Accessorize with a boutonniere. Astaire placed this upon the left side of his jacket.

    • 4

Get a handkerchief. Astaire was a gentleman that always had a handkerchief. He perfectly folded one and placed it inside the pocket below his boutonniere.

    • 5

Get a crisp white button-up. Beneath Astaire's jacket was a cleanly pressed white button-up.

    • 6

Step into Astaire's shoes. He wore shiny black suede heel shoes. If you do not plan on doing a Foxtrot, suede heels are not necessary.

    • 7

Select a fashionable cane. There's nothing that screams class and wealth more than an appropriate cane.

    • 8

Top it off with a top hat. Astaire wore a top hat during his most famous numbers.
