Stop by your local U-Haul to rent a U-Haul pick up truck. Visit the U-Haul website or call 1-800-GO-U-HAUL (1-800-468-4285) to find a U-Haul location near you.

Know the U-Haul hours of operation. Store hours vary by location, but generally, U-Haul is open Monday to Thursday from 7am tp 7pm; Friday 7am to 8pm; Saturday 7am to 7pm; and Sunday 9am to 5pm.

Request to rent, or reserve for a future date, a U-Haul Pick-up Truck. Inquire about the dimensions and features to determine the appropriate size and model. For a 4 bedroom house, select the "Moving Truck" model. For a 3 to 4 bedroom house, select the "Household Mover" model. For a 2 to 3 bedroom house, select the "Easy Loading Mover" model. According to the U-Haul website, cost for the one-way rate is based on the size of the truck (in this case, a Pick-up Truck), the pick-up and drop-off location as well as the length of the rental. The cost of mileage is not absorbed within the rental price. This rate is determined based on the mileage used.
