1
Cleanse your face. Prior to camouflaging your pimple, it is essential that you cleanse your face. Use a cleanser that addresses the specific needs of your skin. An individual with oily skin will use an oil-reducing cleanser, while an individual with dry skin will use a moisturizing cleanser.
-
2
Apply the acne treatment. Once you have washed your face, use a towel to gently pat it dry. If you use a toner, apply it with a cotton ball. Apply the acne treatment to your blemish. Allow it to completely dry. Follow up with moisturizer on the other areas of your face where it is needed.

Apply your foundation. If you’re a woman, it’s likely that you wear foundation on a daily basis. Apply your foundation using a makeup sponge, a makeup brush or your fingers. If you are a man, it is likely you don’t wear foundation. Skip this step and proceed to the next one.

4
Apply the concealer. Use either a concealer brush or your finger to apply concealer to the pimple. Gently pat it onto your skin. You don’t want to rub it in because that will cause irritation. Apply the concealer in layers until you have achieved sufficient coverage.
-
5
Set the concealer. Once your concealer has been applied, it’s time to set it. Use either a translucent powder or a matching face powder to set your makeup. Apply the powder with a powder brush or sponge. Remove any excess powder with a tissue.
-
6
Apply an overnight treatment. Apply a dab of the Queen Helene Mint Julep to your blemish at night before you go to bed. Sleep with it on. In the morning, your pimple will be smaller and the redness will be reduced.

Tips & Warnings
Find a concealer that matches your skin tone exactly. Go to a makeup counter and have the makeup artist match your skin. This helps to avoid the confusion when it comes to getting the correct color.
Do not apply your makeup too soon after moisturizing your face and applying an acne treatment. You want the moisturizer and acne treatment to absorb into your skin, otherwise your concealer will fade.
