How to Acquire the Druid Jaheira in "Baldur’s Gate"
The PC role-playing game Baldur's Gate is best known for its conversion of the Dungeons-and-Dragons rules to a computer game medium, and for its huge cast of twenty-four separate player characters. One of the earliest characters to add to your party is the blunt and disagreeable druid Jaheira. Although she will constantly lecture the main character about avoiding civilization and getting in touch with nature, her combat abilities and access to druid spells make her an invaluable party member.

Travel east from the Library of Candlekeep to the major road that runs through the Sword Coast.

Move north up the road to the Friendly Arm.

Go inside the stone walls surrounding the Friendly Arm and kill the wizard assassin who will attack the party on the steps.

Head inside the Inn, and find the druid Jaheira standing near the bar with her husband Khalid.

Speak with Jaheira and tell her that her old friend Gorion is your stepfather. Accept Jaheira's offer to join the group, and she will then become a playable character.

Tips & Warnings
When you bring Jaheira into the party, she will automatically bring along her husband Khalid. If you don't have enough room for Khalid or if you turn her offer down, you will not be able to add either of them to the group later in the game.
If you have the woman named Faldorn in the party at the same time as Jaheira, they will both take verbal potshots at each other and eventually even attack one another, because of their opposing druidic beliefs.
