Instructions

    • 1

Find a group of people to play with. The minimum number of players is 2, and there is no maximum number of players. The ideal number of players for a game is between 2 and 5 players.

    • 2

Deal an even number of cards to each player. Deal these cards face down and instruct each player not look at their cards.

    • 3

Direct each player to remove the top seven cards from their hand and look at those cards only.

    • 4

Instruct each player to form her best five-card poker hand out of the seven cards she has drawn from the pile of cards.

    • 5

Have each player reveal their hand and instruct them to place the two unused cards face down next to their poker hand. The player with the best poker hand collects all the cards, including the two face-down cards per player, and adds them to the bottom of his pile of cards.

    • 6

Continue playing until one player has won all of the cards at the table.

Tips & Warnings

  • If at any time a player does not have five cards in her pile at the start of a round, that player is eliminated from the game. Any remaining cards she had are won by the player that wins that round of the Poker War card game.
