How to Create a Smurfette Costume
Smurfette is the female Smurf. For a long time, she was the only girl in the land of the Smurfs. She was originally created as a tool to harm the all-male community by their enemy, but she transformed into a lovely heartthrob for all. She's a fun and interesting character. She's also one that is instantly recognizable when you parade down the street in costume. Since it's seen as fairly difficult to apply blue body paint, you won't go to a party where there's a lot of other people dressed in your costume.

1
Use blue body paint all over your face, neck and shoulders. Use it on your arms and legs as well. All visible parts of your body should be covered in blue body paint. Make sure you read the directions on body paint carefully. It should be completely non-toxic and made to safely stay on the body for several hours at a time. Apply it a few hours before you need to get in costume. Park yourself in front of the TV or with a good book. Let it dry for 2 to 3 hours before putting on the rest of your costume.

2
Start with your hair. Put on a long, golden-blond wig. This, of course, doesn't apply if your hair in naturally long and golden-blond. Spray your hair with a shiner spritz. Smurfette's hair was impeccably beautiful. Brush it and let it fall loosely.

3
Put on a tall and pointed white hat that fits firmly on the head. Smurfette's hat was a simple white one that she wore towards the back top of her head. Bangs should be flowing freely in front of the hat.

4
Slip on a sleeveless, short baby doll dress. This was Smurfette's style. Lace around the bottom is recommended. Think of femininity as a top priority when it comes to choices for this character.
-
5
Slip on a pair of white heeled shoes. The heel should be short and simple. Flats would do, but a simple heel gives the shoes a bit more glamor.

Tips & Warnings
Invite your boyfriend to dress up as his favorite Smurf for a fun and unconventional couple's costume.
Don't leave the body paint on for longer than is recommended. in fact, try to leave it on for at least an hour less than the box recommends. After all, it's better to be safe than sorry.
