1
Spot the sinking places. The lower bricks on the walkway are the ones you will be fixing.
-
2
Remove low bricks on walkway. Take your screwdriver, wedging each of the low bricks until they are loose enough to remove. Then take each one off and lay them aside. Don’t worry if you break some during this process.

3
Add sand then level it out. Pour your mason sand in the lower area where the bricks were that you just removed. Take a 2-by-4 to level out the sand by scraping it over the top.

4
Put bricks back once the sand foundation is level and smooth. You will need your rubber mallet to pat each brick back into place. Replace any broken ones. If your bricks are still not even, you will need to adjust the sand underneath them until they lay right.

5
Add more sand to the top. Dust some sand over the bricks. Do this on the ones that you just replaced and others if they need it. Brush the sand into the cracks with your brush. Take your spray bottle of water to dampen the sand once into the cracks. This will give them a better hold. Do it as many times as necessary.

Tips & Warnings
If you damage a brick, simply add a new one. It may look out of place for a little bit, but it will blend in the more it is exposed to the elements.
