Things You'll Need:
- Everyone's measurements
- Full-length pictures of every bridesmaid
- A few examples of dresses you and your bridesmaids like
-
Step 1
Consider the shapes and sizes of all of your bridesmaids. Take the time to consider their height, their shape and their size. Don't be critical of course, but consider where they may have problem spots that may need minimizing. Bring a picture with you of each bridesmaid, along with their measurements.
-
Step 2
You can pick one color but different dress styles. Instead of having everyone in the same style of dress, consider having different styles on bridesmaids that will play up their figure, while all being the same color.
-
Step 3
Separates are great for mixing and matching to help flatter various figures. Many brides choose separates because the skirts and tops can be so easily mixed up so everyone has something that looks great on them. This is also a great way to have uniformity without getting too boring.
-
Step 4
Avoid styles that are too form fitting. Dresses that are too form fitting are going to cause problems for everyone. While you may have one or two that can pull it off, you'll probably end up making your bridesmaids feel uncomfortable.
-
Step 5
You may want to let your bridesmaids choose their style. Consider selecting several styles that you like and the colors that you want, and letting your bridesmaids just find the style that they like on themselves the best. This way they are sure to feel comfortable in their dress on the wedding day.
