The machine makes a deep humming noise, has a feeling of resistance, and you can barely push it forward. There is very little suction.   • Sharp scissors
  • Small brush or toothbrush

      Turn vacuum upside down, and lay it on linoleum floor or pieces of newspaper.

      Check roller for hair, fiber and anything that impedes the suction process.

      Carefully pull on any material that is clogging the vacuum or wrapped around the roller.

      Use sharp, pointed scissors to cut any hair or fiber that is wrapped tightly in the area. Be careful to clear the brushes without damaging them.

      Continue to clear all debris from the mechanism. Use a small brush to get into crevasses if needed.

      Clean the entire bottom of the Dyson vacuum cleaner with a bacterial wipe. Set machine upright, plug in and vacuum floor to test the suction.
