Instructions

    • 1

Chew a piece of bubblegum until it’s soft and moldable. Mold it into a rectangular shape. Place the gum horizontally over your “PIP” joint, or the finger joint closest to your knuckle.

    • 2

Mash the edges of the gum down so that they are flat and blend in with your skin as much as possible. Don’t flatten the gum entirely—leave a sizable lump of gum on top of the joint.

    • 3

Cover the bubblegum with the skin-toned makeup, blending it in with the surrounding skin.

    • 4

Use the blunt end of a knife to slit open a “wound” in the bubblegum where your finger appears to be severed.

    • 5

Dab fake blood in the incision’s opening. The prank is complete—all you need now is a victim.

Tips & Warnings

  • Fake blood can be made at home by adding red food dye to corn syrup.

  • This prank is realistic and may be inappropriate for small children.
