1
Paint the 6-to-8-inch-wide planter pot completely in black and orange for Halloween. Use any design you like. Add some glow-in-the-dark paint to make your decoration shine at night.
-
2
Place a small block of Styrofoam or craft clay used for holding flowers in place into the painted planter.
-
-
3
Press a stick with many branches firmly in the enter of the Styrofoam or clay.
-
4
Pour dirt into the planter, covering the Styrofoam or clay and filling the pot.
-
5
Draw several small pumpkin shapes onto orange construction paper. These will be the decorations for your Halloween tree.
-
6
Cut out each of the pumpkin-shape decorations out of the orange construction paper.
-
7
Decorate the pumpkin decorations with silly, scary, or happy jack-o-lantern faces. Create some glitter to each of the pumpkins to make them stand out.
-
8
Use scissors to cut one piece of 4-inch string for each of your pumpkin decorations.
-
9
Make a loop with each of the pieces of yarn and glue both loose ends onto the back of each pumpkin decoration. Let the glue dry--and you'll have loops sturdy enough to hang the decoration.
-
10
Hang each of the pumpkin shaped-decorations onto the branches of your stick. Spread the decorations out over the entire stick to give your Halloween tree a more balanced look.
-
11
Display your Halloween tree as a centerpiece on a table, or as a spooky decoration on your shelf. You can even put your tree outside for everyone to enjoy. Visit the resource below for other spooky Halloween crafts.
