How to Draw Chunky Monkey Cartoons

Whether you're an expert or a beginner artist, drawing a chunky monkey is extremely simple. You just have to think about the shapes that consist of the monkey, and it will be easy to add in the rest. A chunky monkey consists of two ovals, a few rectangles and hands and feet. Following these simple steps will allow you to become an expert at creating a great chunky monkey.

Instructions

Start by drawing either a pear or oval shape in the center of your paper. This shape will be the monkey's face. Add two oval shapes inside the oval or pear to make the monkey's eyes, and then two smaller circles inside those to make the pupils.

Add the nose by drawing a small line or a shape that resembles a wide "V" below the eyes. The ears can be added by drawing two small circles on both sides of the monkey's head. Add hair on the top of the monkey's head. You can put just a few curvy lines coming off the top of his head to make hair.

Draw the mouth on your monkey by making a crescent shape under the nose or simply a line to indicate he is smiling. You can then put two lines over his eyes to make eyebrows, and to give his ears dimension you should add a curved line in each that looks like a backwards letter "C."

Use a similar shape that you used for the monkey's head for his body, just make it larger and rounder to give the illusion that the monkey is plump. Draw two arms on both sides of the body, along with two legs. All four of these shapes should be long, rectangular shapes. Add hands and feet. His hands should look fairly similar to his feet, since monkey's feet look like hands.

Complete this drawing by adding a tail to his body. You can also add clothing if you would like.
