How to Become an Imperial Palace Shadow Dancer
Las Vegas is known for casinos, gambling and entertaining shows. Many spend their time in Las Vegas gambling, and many of them will try to fit in a show or two during the visit. Caesar’s Palace has a popular spot called The Shadow Bar. Throughout the night, the Shadow Dancers come out and perform for guests. If you have the drive and talent, here is how you can become a Shadow Dancer.

Attend a show at the Shadow Bar. Prior to becoming a Shadow Dancer, it’s important to know what you’re getting yourself into. Head over to The Shadow Bar at Caesar’s Palace and spend some time there observing the atmosphere. Stick around for the show and make a decision about whether or not that is a job you want to do.

Take dance lessons at a Las Vegas dance studio to improve your skills. You want to take your classes in Las Vegas because they will likely be geared towards entertainers. This is a necessary step whether or not you have ever taken dance classes.

Get in shape. Since you want to be a dancer, it is important to get physically fit. Work out at your local gym between dance classes. You also want to focus on toning your body. Meet with a personal trainer and learn how to use the weights and machines at your local gym.

Inquire about open positions at the Shadow Bar. Throughout the process of getting in shape it’s important to periodically contact The Shadow Bar to find out if there are any open positions. If you don’t find anything immediately, check some of the other shows throughout Las Vegas, but remember to periodically check back at The Shadow Bar.

Attend Shadow Bar auditions once there is an opening. Prior to auditioning, train especially hard in order to prepare for the audition. Eating healthy, working out and taking dance lessons will benefit you at auditions.

Take it to the next level. After you audition for The Shadow Bar, you will know where you stand. If you don’t get the job, don’t give up. Audition for other Las Vegas shows and once auditions come up again, make a point to attend and do your best. If you do get the job, congratulations and enjoy being a Shadow dancer.

Tips & Warnings
Take any kind of dance lessons you choose. Jazz and ballet are particularly helpful when you are auditioning for shows.
Don’t overwork yourself. Schedule workouts so that you don’t overwhelm yourself by doing too much too quickly. If necessary, consult with a personal trainer.
