How to Change an Icon in Mac OS X
Customizing the icons on your Mac is simple to do and is a great way to give your Mac its own personality. Here's an easy way to change the icon on any document or application.

Select the document or application in the finder window that you want to change the icon of and “get info” on the application or document. To “Get Info,” simply select “File/Get Info” or use the hot-key (⌘ I).

Now go back and select the icon you first looked at in the “Get Info” window. When you select the icon, you will notice that it will become outlined. Simply use the “Paste” command in the “Edit/Paste” menu or use your hot-key (⌘ V). Your new icon will now be visible in both the “Get Info” window and your finder.
