How to Make a Quick and Simple Sorbet
Sorbet is basically just sweetened, frozen fruit juice, so it's not difficult to whip up a batch. Sorbet does tend to have a better consistency when made in an ice cream maker, but not many cooks have that piece of specialty equipment on hand. This fast, easy recipe only requires a blender. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Take the frozen fruit out of the freezer and let it warm up slightly so that it is soft enough to blend. Make sure it is still frozen, but not so hard it will damage the blender's blade.
-
2
Mix the fruit with powdered sugar in the blender. Add one teaspoon of powdered sugar per cup of frozen fruit. Blend on low or medium until you start to see a sorbet consistency.
-
-
3
Serve right away. If the sorbet has melted or liquified too much, pour it into a freezer-safe container and refreeze it to the desired consistency.

Tips & Warnings
The best frozen fruits for this recipe are strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, wild cherries, oranges and pineapple.
You can add a spoon or two of yogurt for a smoother, sherbet-like consistency.
If the fruit is very hard your sorbet might brake the blender
