How to Make a Tissue Box Frame
Portraits, school photos and even digital prints of your family, pets and memorable events provide a wonderful, personal way to decorate your home. While your choice of pictures to use is probably plentiful, frames to place them in can be downright expensive. Why not reduce, reuse and recycle with this practical yet adorable photo frame project?
Things You'll Need
- Square Tissue Box
- Scissors
- Piece of Cardboard
- Glue Gun
- Glue,
- Photo
- Optional: Glitter, Beads, Other Embellishments

Cut the top square off of the tissue box. Cut away all of the cellophane around the opening.

Place your photo under the opening and make certain that you can view as much of it as you want. If you can't, use the scissors to cut the opening wider. You can also use a craft knife to slice the opening wider. Tape the photo in place on the backside of the opening.

Cut the piece of cardboard to the same size as the tissue box square. Use the hot glue gun and glue stick or the white glue to glue the piece of cardboard onto the back of the tissue box square with the photo taped in place.

Adhere beads, glitter or other embellishements if desired to enhance the appearance of your frame.

Glue on a loop of ribbon to the back of the frame if you want to hang it on the wall. Other options include gluing a magnet to the back, setting the frame on a small easel, or creating an easel back using a piece of cardboard cut to size and glued to the back.

Tips & Warnings
If the tissue box doesn't match your decor, cover it with a piece of coordinating fabric or paper.
