How to Make a Personalized Candy Wrapper
Candy bars with customized wrappers are a creative and unique favor for holidays, baby showers, birthday parties and even weddings. Many companies will create the wrappers for you -- at a price. But you can create your own wrapper for a fraction of the cost to provide your friends and loved ones an unforgettable bit of sweetness.

Instructions
Things You'll Need
- 1 candy bar, with both inner and outer wrapping
- 1 sheet of construction paper or cardstock
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape
- Markers, stickers, ribbon or other crafting supplies

1
Carefully remove original paper candy wrapper from candy bar, leaving the inner foil wrapper intact.
-
2
Lay the candy wrapper flat onto the construction paper. Using a pencil, trace around candy wrapper. Cut out the rectangle with scissors.
-
3
Customize the rectangle for the candy bar. Remember that the middle third of the paper will become the front of the candy bar. Use markers, stickers, ribbon or anything else to embellish the new wrapper.
Or, if you are comfortable with the computer, create a new wrapper design on a word processing program using a table customized to the size of the wrapper. You can experiment with a variety of fonts and graphics to create a professional looking wrapper. Print out the wrapper and cut it to size.

Tips & Warnings
To make a large amount of candy wrappers, create one wrapper design on a regular piece of paper -- smaller candy bars may allow you to fit two or three designs on one standard 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of paper -- then photocopy the template onto cardstock to create as many wrappers as needed.
Or, if you created the wrapper on the computer, print out as many copies as needed.
Rename the candy bar according to the event or holiday you are celebrating. Add appropriate embellishments, too. If the wrapper is made on the computer, you can add photos of the newly married couple for a wedding favor, an ultrasound image for a baby shower treat or images of cupids and hearts for a Valentine's Day gift.
