How to beat the odds and save a USB keyboard that has been spilled on.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Immediately unplug the USB keyboard from your computer.

  2. Step 2

Flip the keyboard upside down and let it drain as soon as possible. Let the liquid drain through the keys.

  3. Step 3

Wait a day or two, or until you are sure the inside of the keyboard is completely drained and dry.

  4. Step 4

If there is still liquid in the keyboard, don't plug it in. The keyboard has to be completely dry in order to work again.

  5. Step 5

If you unplug it quickly, the keyboard may still work after it's dry.
