Rubber stamping is a great way to create your own cards or add extra zing to scrapbook pages. This tutorial shows in quick and easy step by step instructions how to do wet embossing.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Stamp
  • cardstock
  • Embossing Stamp pad
  • Heat gun
  • scrap paper
  1. Step 1

Once you have decided on the project you have in mind, gather all your supplies.

Using the rubber stamp and the embossing pad, stamp the image on your precut paper.

  2. Step 2

Sprinkle the embossing powder over your stamped image. Do this over a clean sheet of paper. Tap the stamped paper with your finger or flick it. This will shake off the excess powder. If there is sill some on excess on the paper you can often remove it by using a tiny paintbrush. I use a child's paint brush and cut off some of the bristles to get to tiny areas.

  3. Step 3

Over a heat resistant surface, heat your stamped image till the embossing powder melts together. You will see a definite change in the powder when this happens. It will become glossy and run together. Allow the image to cool and finish your project like you normally would.

Tips & Warnings
  • watch your fingers and the heat gun
  • Make sure your surface is heat resistant before you heat emboss!
