Things You'll Need:
- Reasonable expectations
- Internet
- common sense
-
Step 1
If you are like most people you are concerned about event ticket scams. All events are subject to having scammers try to use you, so don't think it occurs in any one area more than others. There are a few things you can do to help avoid these scams that seem more and more common by the day.
-
Step 2
Do you have a big collection of tickets?Deal with local people that you can meet face to face for ticket transactions. It certainly makes more sense to deal with someone you can meet and pay right as you see the tickets, which eliminates a lot of the suspense and questions.
-
Step 3
Never wire money to anyone's account by western union or any other wiring service. These are probably the most common types of scams and they are the easiest to avoid. If someone requests you send money by western union for tickets, say thanks but no thanks.
-
Step 4
Check feedback that this particular seller has. This is particularly useful on ebay, but its also available in some other cases through things such as testimonials. Look to see what kind of feedback has been left for this particular seller.
-
Step 5
Use some common sense! If an event ticket is selling for $100 everywhere else and someone is selling it for $25 here, then it is most likely a scam. If a deal looks too good to be true it probably is.
-
Step 6
Ask questions!Contact the seller with any question you may have. If the seller is unwilling to answer your questions then you should steer clear because they likely have something to hide.

on 9/2/2008 Your right! If the price is too low, it could be too good to be true.
