How to Make a Halloween Ghost from Plastic Bags

Decorate for Halloween without spending a penny and use up some of those plastic grocery bags. These friendly ghosts can hang from tree branches, a doorway or the chandelier.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Three white or light colored plastic grocery bags
  • String or yarn, about 12 inches
  • Craft scissors
  1. Step 1

    Trim the handles from all three bags.

  2. Step 2

    Wad up two of the bags, making a more or less round shape.

  3. Step 3

    Push them firmly into a corner of the third bag.

  4. Step 4

    With the string, tie under the wadded up bags to make a head, leaving a tail to hang it by.

  5. Step 5

    Trim the bottom to make it even.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use a marker to make eyes and mouth
  • Use two bags for a sturdier ghost
  • Hang out of the reach of small children or animals who may entangle themselves
