How to Turn a TV Into a PC Monitor
You can set up your computer to display through your television. Whether a PowerPoint presentation at work or you just want to watch movies from your computer's DVD player, you can easily connect a TV by using an S-video cable.

- S-video cable
- Stereo-audio cable
- PC with S-video jack
- TV with S-video jack

Connect an S-Vveo cable from your computer's S-video jack to your TV's S-video jack. The cable is usually 6 feet in length, which allows you to connect the devices with ease.

Connect a stereo-audio cable which will enable you to hear sound from your computer through your TV. Connect the single prong end into the headphone jack on your computer. Then connect the red end into the back of your TV. The black prong isn't used.

Select your "TV/Video" button on your television set. A screen showing the S-video caption will be displayed.

Right-click on your computer's desktop. Select "Properties" from the pop-up menu.

From the "Properties" menu, select "Setting"s. Drag the screen depiction with the number one to the right of the number two screen. Check the box next to "Extend My Desktop To This Monitor."

Drag your PC image to the TV screen. Your computer's PC image now appears on your television.

Tips & Warnings
Modify the image resolution to obtain the best quality through the "Settings" menu after you select "Properties."
Resolution on a TV screen won't be high as TVs since TVs have a low resolution.
