Things You'll Need:
- A willing heart
- Capacity to forgive
- God's Grace (which you already have)
-
Step 1
Take a deep breath and visualize the person who has hurt or angered you.
-
Step 2
Speak the words, "God Bless (the person's name)." At first, it will be difficult to say. Your teeth and fists may be clenched. Your lips may be tight, and the words may be almost silent and cold.
-
Step 3
Everytime you think of that person or see that person or pass that person's home, say those few words.
-
Step 4
You will find, over time, the words become easier to say and eventually, become an automatic response to any thought of the person who hurt you.
-
Step 5
The Lord will intervene and change the relationship, I promise you. When He does, be thankful and joyful and acknowledge His work in the hearts of the faithful.

on 9/5/2008 This is good, I need to remember to "love thine enemies" more often. Unforgiveness is the root of much unhappiness and prayer is the key to changing that!
