A KONG toy
A KONG toy

If you have to keep a dog crated for long periods of time, for example, when you have a dog that must be kept quiet after surgery, it can become very difficult for the dog and for you. This little trick will keep your dog happy for a while.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a KONG toy or rubber toy with holes in both ends
  • peanut butter
  1. Step 1

Put the dog into the crate.

  2. Step 2

Put peanut butter inside the KONG toy.

  3. Step 3

Give the KONG toy to the dog.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to spread the peanut butter down into the KONG toy as far down as you can put it, then add extra clear up to the top.
  • If your toy that you are using does not have a hole in BOTH ends, do not use it. The toy must have a hole in both ends so as to keep the dog's tongue from getting "sucked into" the hole.
