Things You'll Need:
- Large beach bag (filled with beach necessities)
- Small cooler or Large lunch box
- Baby Powder
-
Step 1
Prepare yourself ahead of time. Pack your beach bag the night before.
I always bring a book, my MP3 player and head phones, some type of beach ball or other beach toys, including skim boards and boogie boards. Don't forget towels and sunscreen. Bring a blanket that's soul purpose is to sit on. Save your towels from becoming sand encrusted, which you'll thank me for later. -
Step 2
When packing your cooler never forget the essentials. Ice, bottled water, and snacks. And think easy snacks. Grab a 16 ounce container of sour cream and powdered ranch mix. Mix it right in the container you bought it in. That and a bag of your favorite chips and you have a perfect on the go snack.

Step 3
So now you are at the beach. You've had your fun filled day and you are ready to go home. And yes, while you stop at the dinky over crowded shower post on the way to the car, you still somehow manage to be completely covered in sand by the time you get to your car.
This is where the baby powder comes in. Before get in your vehicle, bang the sand off your shoes. Apply baby powder, liberally, to your arms and legs... whereever there is sand. Don't forget between your toes.
While it won't help to entirely avoid getting that annoying sand in your car... it definitely makes the car ride home less grumpy, especially for the kids!
