Things You'll Need:
- Desire to save money
-
Step 1
To find the bud that is right for you and your budget, just consider which flowers will be in season near the date of your ceremony. One of the fastest ways to max-out your floral budget is to select arrangements filled with out-of-season flowers. However, if you like carnations, daisies, chrysanthemums or orchids, you're in luck because those varieties are readily available year round.
-
Step 2
Consider the weather and temperature associated with your ceremony and reception sites. If you are anticipating high winds during your beach front or mountain top ceremony, choose arrangements that include more greenery and feature flowers with sturdy petals, such as lily or bird of paradise. Extreme heat can ravage your blossoms as well. Black-eyed susan, carnations, daisies and sunflowers are beautiful and heat-resistant.

Step 3
Once you know what varieties are available to work with, it's important to find out what colors those flowers bloom in. Gerbera daisies are unbeatable when it comes to color variety. They come in a multitude of shades from bright orange to delicate lavender. Dahlias are another vibrant option. Ultimately, you will want to select one to three colors for your arrangements.

Step 4
If you happen to have a large wedding party, a small floral budget or you simply have your heart set on a pricey bloom, there are plenty of ways to stretch that floral dollar:
a) Try using more greenery or baby's breath in your arrangements. They are relatively inexpensive fillers.
b) Consider using chrysanthemums or carnations. They are generally the least expensive flowers and they're available year round.
c) Use an expensive flower sparingly and surround it with attractive but more affordable buds.
d) Buy flowers at the bulk rate and use them everywhere.
