Making a paper bag basket is easy with my tutorial. Bonus napkin ring instructions are included!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 paper bag-a paper lunch sack is perfect!
  • Double-sided tape or glue
  • Decorative-edged scissors
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  1. Step 1

    Lay bag on flat surface.

  2. Step 2

Using pencil and ruler, draw lines going down either side of bag as shown in photo, then out to edges as shown.

  3. Step 3

Cut along pencil lines with decorative-edged scissors. Save the pieces you've cut out for your napkin rings!

  4. Step 4

    Open bag.

  5. Step 5

Tape or glue the two halves of the handle together.

  6. Step 6

    Decorate bag as desired.

  7. Step 7

To make napkin rings, open the accordian-like pieces you've cut from your basket.

  8. Step 8

Using decorative-edged scissors, cut along the folds.

  9. Step 9

Determine how large in diameter your napkin ring needs to be. Trim one end if needed. Join the two ends together with double-sided tape or glue.

  10. Step 10

    Enjoy!!

Tips & Warnings
  • Get creative with your baskets and napkin rings! You can glue lace around the edges of your basket, or decorate with stickers. Fill with flowers, party favors, or Easter grass and treats! Wouldn't a bunch made from white paper bags make lovely (cheap!!) wedding decorations?
