Step 1
Sign up for a yahoo account. You will need to have a yahoo account to answer questions on yahoo answers to promote your blog. Choose a yahoo screen name that says something about you and or your blog. This will help to identify and give you a presence on yahoo answers.
-
Step 2
Choose one particular blog post that you want to promote. If there is not one blog post that stands out, you can link to your entire blog. Some blogs change their topics from post to post. These types of blogs would do better with having individual posts promoted. A blog about a general topic like weight loss, can be promoted easily as a whole on yahoo answers.
-
Step 3
Do an advanced search on yahoo answers for the topic that you will be using to promote your blog. Make sure that you are searching for open questions so that you will be able to answer them to promote your blog. Choose a question from yahoo answers that you can answer and add useful information to.
-
Step 4
Post a thoughtful answer. To get the reader to read your post, you will need to submit more then just a link to your blog. Answer the question that is being asked and tell them to go to your blog for more information. Answer 2 to3 yahoo answers questions a day to promote your blog with ease.

on 9/28/2009 STEP ONE do NOT ADVERTISE on Yahoo Answers.
DO NOT TRY TO USE YAHOO ANSWERS to drive traffic to your E-how pages (or blog or website).
Yahoo calls that "solicitation", and it is taken as seriously as simple spamming. It WILL lead to your account being suspended and all your content wiped.
Some people who persisted found even their ISP accounts suspended.
Even if you don't do it on every answer, they will get you for it. Doesn't matter how good the answer is, either. If you are driving traffic they will drive you out. It is a site for answers, not free advertising.
