Roasted garlic is delicious, versatile, and very easy to make. Serve roasted garlic with toasted baugette slices, soft cheese, and olives for an easy and impressive appetizer, or try adding roasted garlic paste to your favorite soup. Learn to roast garlic below!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a whole head of garlic
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • aluminum foil
  1. Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Remove some of the papery skin from the garlic head, but do not peel or separate the cloves.

  2. Step 2

Place garlic on a sheet of aluminum foil and drizzle olive oil on top.

  3. Step 3

Wrap the garlic in the aluminum foil, allowing some room for airflow inside the pocket.

  4. Step 4

Roast for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Garlic is done when it is soft to the touch.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try roasting a head of garlic anytime you have something in the oven - when you are baking chicken or a casserole, for example.
