Clear a Stuffy Nose

Feeling miserable with a cold or this year's allergies? Stuffy noses can be the most irritating thing about such misfortunes. Luckily, there are a few remedies anyone can do to relieve the stuffiness that they feel!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Blow your nose as often as you need to. Sometimes you need to just clear your nose out and by blowing your nose, this will help relieve build up. Be careful though, blowing your nose too much can cause irritation under your nose. Some tissues have lotion mixed in helping to aid such pains.

  2. Step 2

Try eating a spoonful of horseradish sauce. Spicy foods can often cause our noses to run. Horseradish sauce is an instant help!

  3. Step 3

Try Vicks Vapor Rub. Putting a little bit underneath your nose can do wonders. If you're not fond of the vapor rub, try Johnsons & Johnson's baby bath formula with vicks. These help clear a nose in no time.

  4. Step 4

Smell an onion. Onions are strong and scent and easily clear the nasal passage.

  5. Step 5

Have a nice warm shower or bath. Steam helps soothe your nose.

  6. Step 6

Have a hot beverage... Like a hot shower, the steam will help you. Plus, it's tasty!

Tips & Warnings
  • Take it easy. Stuffy noses are all part of allergies/colds. Relax and get your rest.

on 9/30/2008 Wasabi opens up the nasal passages, too. I guess you could smell or eat it. Just don't eat a big glob of it. I did that once as a dare and I had the worst indigestion I've ever felt in my life.
