Now you can create your own kind of “spray and wash” from household products and a spray bottle. You can use this mixture to clean shirt collars.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 clean, empty spray bottle
  • 2 tablespoons household ammonia
  • 1 teaspoon liquid soap or liquid laundry detergent
  • 1 pint warm water
  1. Step 1

You need an empty spray container. You can recycle an empty container from another product as long as it’s thoroughly cleaned. Otherwise, you can purchase an inexpensive new spray bottle at most drug stores and super stores.

  2. Step 2

Using the proportions shown under "Things You'll Need," pour the ingredients into the spray bottle and shake gently to mix.

  3. Step 3

Spray the collar, thoroughly saturating the neck stain, let the shirt set for 15 minutes, and then wash as normal.
