How to use a guitar amplifier as a multimedia speaker

Do you want your ipod, computer or whatever to scream out loud music? Then use your guitar amp as a multimedia speaker!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6.5mm to 3.5mm jack
  • 6.5mm audio cable
  1. Step 1

    Get to your local instrument Store and buy a 6.5mm to 3.5mm jack, they are really easy to find. Also, if you don't have the 6.5mm audio cable, you should get it too (note that this is the cable you use to connect you guitar to your amp).

  2. Step 2

    Plug one end of your 6.5 audio cable to your guitar amp's CD in (or input if you don't have CD in), and the other end to the hole of the 6.5mm to 3.5mm jack. Then connect the 3.5 plug of your 6.5mm to 3.5mm jack to your ipod or your computer.

  3. Step 3

    Make some tweak on your amp's control to get a good sound.

  4. Step 4

    For the amp with CD in, you can use the amp's input to connect your guitar, you will both the guitar and the music!

Tips & Warnings
  • Lower your volume and gain before connecting the ipod and computer
  • Turn off Drive
