Use a plan and you will have time for your bodybuilding workout.
Use a plan and you will have time for your bodybuilding workout.

You might have begun your bodybuilding regime but do you have a bodybuilding plan? A good bodybuilding plan should include more than just lifting a few very heavy irons and gulping down some kelp. Before you start you should have a plan and write it down. Once you have your plan established stick to it and try to accomplish your goals, and the rest of your life, with time management skills.

Things You'll Need:

  • Calendar/checklist
  • Time management techniques
  • Commitment to make bodybuilding fit into your schedule.
  1. Step 1

    Create your bodybuilding workout schedule.

One of the most important parts of your bodybuilding plan should be the amount of time you devote to exercising everyday, and how you manage to squeeze that regime into your lifestyle. In dealing with time management there are immovable activities (the activities you simply HAVE to do during your day). Family activities and work are two important activities since you have to do them at certain times. Mark down your existing immovable activities onto your calendar and choose the days and times where your workout regime will work into your lifestyle.

  2. Step 2

Stay committed to your bodybuilding schedule.

Marking down our bodybuilding workout times seemed easy yet sticking to it is a little harder. There will always be important things that take you away from your schedule but you need to let everyone know how important your workouts are to you and see what alternatives there may be for someone else to address the little emergencies. Try and be where you are expected to be according to your plan at all times. Don't be late, and don't spend extra time on anything, even the gym

  3. Step 3

Don't be vein with your bodybuilding success.

There is one thing that will be enticing as your body begins to look sculpted - looking at it. Do not spend a lot of time admiring your sculpted body in front of the mirror or strut into a shopping mall showing off your newly chiseled body. Its true, you do look cool doing all of those but you'd look a lot better if you redeemed the time you are wasting in this manner and making use of it at the gym instead.

  4. Step 4

Stay motivated and continue your workout.

It's not easy staying motivated and distractions are rampant, like in every other field of life. To stay on track read books or listen to CD's regarding motivation, time-management, success and competition. It's unbelievable the kind of effect these have been known to have on people.

  5. Step 5

    Consistently improve your bodybuilding plan.

To upgrade and improve your bodybuilding plan stay tuned to the Internet. There is plenty of good (and bad - so be careful) information that will be helpful to tweak your plan, help with time management issues, and keep you motivated. Get your name included in their newsletter lists and read the books, articles, and other information recommended. There is really no end to the extent such information can help you out.

Tips & Warnings
  • There is time in your busy schedule to start your bodybuilding workout regime. With a little planning, time management, and understanding of family and friends you will be able to stay committed and see positive results quickly.
